Answer Directly

via Creating a Writing Culture

When we hedge or evade when answering a question, we can give the impression that we're hiding problems. Consider replying to questions directly, with one of these four answers:

  1. Yes
  2. No
  3. I don’t know, do you want me to follow-up?
  4. A number

By answering directly and honestly you may see that you build credibility, even when you don't know the answer.
